SOOOO Underwhelmed!! :(

Well, I finally made it to Hobby Lobby and I was seriously underwhelmed!!  I was expecting all these fabulous paper crafting supplies.  NOT!!  99% of the store was home decor and floral!!!  What's up with that???  Other people rave about their Hobby Lobby stores.  Obviously, their Hobby Lobby stores are different from this one.  It is a huge store, but the papercrafting section was SMALL!!!  Michael's has a TON more stuff than Hobby Lobby!!  I'll bet there weren't even 20 different punches to choose from, all the same papers that M's carries, I was just seriously disappointed!!!  Are all Hobby Lobby stores like this one???

  1. I am so sorry. We just got two here in MD a few months back and I love them. I had them when we lived in NC and loved them too. I think they have FANTASTIC sales and the papercrafting sections are fairly large, but that is just me!

  2. Sounds about right.Their turnover is VERY slow. If I want ANYTHING new I have to order online. It is better than nothing. A HL is my only local option ......

  3. That stinks :-( We have about 5 aisles of stuff in ours. One side punches, cutters (ie bind it all) cuttlebug, etc. other side ribbon and other little stuff brads, etc. One whole aisle both sides just paper packaged and loose sheet. One aisle for all stamping stuff. Ours is pretty decent in size. Yours sounds like it stunk. I'm sorry :-(

  4. They just opened, so I'm hoping it will get better with time. There were LOTS of empty shelves, so I'm keeping my fingers crossed!!

  5. I have 3 Hobby Lobby stores in my area. They both have a decent selection. But, they don't have a good selection of punches and are lacking in other areas, as well. What I really like about them is they have paper stacks on sale for 1/2 price quite often and they carry a wider variety of paper than Michaels or JoAnns carry. My Michaels NEVER has 1/2 price paper stacks. :( I am lucky to have Michaels, Joanns and Hobby Lobby, along with several other pricier scrapbooking stores near me and depending who is having a sale and what coupons are offered, that is where I shop. I never buy anything that is not on sale. ;)
